Will County Children's Advocacy Center earns $75,000 grant to help victims

The Will County Children’s Advocacy Center received a $75,000 federal grant to expand its resources for victims of child pornography and child sex trafficking.

This is the third time that the advocacy center has received a grant from the National Children’s Alliance, according to a news release. The Will County Children’s Advocacy Center was one of only 34 CACs across the nation to receive the grant for services or training, and the only one in Illinois to receive the grant for services.

“The Will County Children’s Advocacy Center is continually expanding the services it provides to the most vulnerable of populations – children who have been sexually abused or exploited,” Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow, the chairman of the Will County CAC’s board of directors, said in the release. “As a nonprofit organization, we rely upon grants like this to help us continue evolving with creative programs and offerings to meet the needs of our communities.”
