Lee Goodson gives up Will County Board seat after winning primary

Her resignation comes just after Goodson successfully ran for re-election in Tuesday's primary. She was nominated for a spot on the ballot in the November general election.

Goodson will focus her efforts on Edward’s service area, including Naperville, Plainfield, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Lisle, Oswego, Romeoville, Warrenville, Woodridge, Yorkville and surrounding areas.

Goodson, a resident of Plainfield with two children, replaces Sandy Benson, who is retiring April 11 after nearly 25 years at the health system.
