Will County

County Chief Executive: Larry Walsh, the Democratic incumbent, has been an effective leader, boosting economic development and improving governmental efficiency in one of the fastest-growing counties in the state. Walsh faces a formidable opponent in Republican Cory Singer, of Frankfort, president of the Will County Forest Preserve District, who says he won't increase property taxes and will push to establish small-business incubators in the county.
