Learn About the Affordable Care Act in Bolingbrook

Will County Board members from Bolingbrook today invited residents to the Bolingbrook Fountaindale Public Library on February 15 from 10:30 a.m. to noon to learn more about the benefits available to them under the Affordable Care Act and receive information about the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace.

"There is some misinformation out there about the new health insurance law and marketplace, and we have setup this event with the Will County Health Department to provide our residents with reliable resources and knowledgable professionals to assist them," said board member Jackie Traynere (D-Bolingbrook).

DTDO’s regular monthly meeting on January 13th is canceled

DTDO’s regular monthly meeting at Ashbury's on January 13th is canceled.  Instead, offered will be Votebuilder Training at Rasmussen College on Saturday, January 18th. The training though will be limited to Democratic Party elected officials, Precinct Committeepersons and candidates running in the March 2014 Primary. If you wish to attend, call or email Norman Brown by Wednesday, January 15th.

County panel sets conditions for DuPage Township composting operation

For years, the Land and Lakes Development Co. has been operating a composting facility, a construction debris landfill and an asphalt/concrete plant in DuPage Township without being in compliance with county zoning laws.

After several years of discussions, including a period of time when the site’s owners considered annexing into the village of Romeoville, the business is close to finally coming into compliance.
