Will County board incumbents face primary challenge

Author: Editor

Two Will County board members are facing a primary challenge from a fellow board member's daughter-in-law.

Lauren Staley-Ferry is challenging incumbents Walter Adamic and Diane Zigrossi in the Democratic primary for Will County Board District 9. The district covers parts of Joliet, Crest Hill, Homer Glen, New Lenox and Lockport.

"I believe it's time for my generation to join with our parents in planning for the future of our communities," said Staley-Ferry, a 35-year-old from Joliet, whose father-in-law Mark Ferry of Plainfield was elected to the board in 2012.
